DE-DUST

De-Dust systems

The de-dust systems are designed to reduce the dust generated by the shredding process. In addition, it also reduces the amount of small and low-density elements that are present in the original material to be processed.

They usually consist of a cyclone and a sleeve filters. The cyclone is responsible for sucking up the dust generated and the sleeve filters absorb the small, and dust particles.

Counter current air separation system. The shredded material passes through a counter current air flow that separates light and low density materials from heavier material (metals), making the electromagnetic drums more efficient.

Magnetic drums

Ferrous material separation systems consist of a permanent magnet or variable field magnetic drums. These drums are responsible for separating the ferrous material from the non-ferrous material. The ferrous material would be ready for sale, while the non-ferrous material must be processed by the eddy current separator (ECS) for revaluation.

Non-ferrous metal separation systems operate on the principle of Eddy currents in a variable magnetic field. Non-ferrous materials (metals and other waste) are moved through a variable magnetic field which induces a current in the metals and separates them from the rest of the waste.
